A valuation will depend on the nature of each business deal. A deal can be offered as a sale of an entire company or be packaged as a sale of assets, customers and goodwill. Valuation is not an exact science and we may use different ways of valuing a business. Each of these methods is based on different assumptions and financial information, which typically results in a different valuation. For instance, we could base a valuation on the assets of a business or by taking into account projected revenues or cash flows.
